Thanks for the feedback. Sorry for not being a bit more promt in a reply. Life, a wife, and moving countries keeps me busy. I'll be starting work on development shortly and will work to build in your suggestions. The iteration count should be very easy, and if you want to learn python/openfoam, I would encourage you to take it on. Just make a pull request in Github if you do.
The back of the envelope mode may also be rather simple. Right now, the simulation is run in simpleFoam but is preconditioned with potentialFoam. I wonder if potentialFoam could be used. If I recall, potentialFoam doesn't return aerodynamic forces, which may complicate issues.
Re:github docs: yeah, I agree. Winter is coming, hopefully things improve.
